イングリッシュクラブ Halloween party

On October 28th, we had our annual Halloween party with the other ALTs in Miyoshi City and Rachelle and Kaius.

We chose designs and carved three pumpkins.
The second years carved Charlie Brown and Snoopy pumpkin, and the first years carved a Minion pumpkin and a cat pumpkin. The third years have been very busy with entrance exams and job interviews, but they were able to party with us as well.

Now our pumpkins are in front of the school for all the students to see!

イングリッシュクラブ Welcome party

The welcome party was on July 1st. Tony 先生’s wife and son came to the party. His wife brought a cinnamon cake. It was so delicious, because she bakes very well.
Kaius (Tony 先生’s son) is so cute. He has blue eyes. They look like jewels.

After we finished eating snacks, we gave our self-introductions. Last, we took some pictures. It was a good memory.

イングリッシュクラブ Scavenger Hunt

We did a scavenger hunt. Everyone divided into four teams and looked for cards hidden somewhere in the school. Ten hints were written in English. If we understood the meaning of the hints, we went to the spot and wrote the name ofthe place on our paper. If all our answers were correct we could clear the game!!

It was difficult, because the hints were written in abstract English. So, we couldn’t easily find our teams cards. But we learned new English vocabulary. In the future we want to do more fun activities in English Club.

イングリッシュクラブ Taboo, gestures, and drawing game

For this game we had to guess a word on a slip of paper.  We played the game by either explaining a word in English, doing gestures, or drawing a picture and our team tried to guess the word.

This was the first time we all met. Our friendship grew through playing the game. Tony 先生 always thinks of interesting games.

イングリッシュクラブ Introduction

Hello! We are the English Club. We do activities on Wednesdays. We usually start around 4 o’clock.

We play cards, gestures games, and Werewolf. We also watch English movies and hold parties.

For example, on Halloween we carve pumpkins and make jack-lanterns. At our Christmas party we exchange presents and last time we made tacos.

We are not good at speaking English, but we help each other and enjoy spending time together. Why don’t you enjoy learning English with us!
